January 7, 2001

During the "Young People’s Time," (which included children and youth), they were invited to share what they thought were some of the most important highlights of the year 2000 in our church. Here’s what they said:

Remembering what God has done

(One sister herein reminded us again of God’s involvement, asking what God has done in all this.
From this point, sharing explicitly noted this)

How God is continuing work
through our mentoring program

How God turned Patty’s life around
from addiction (Terri Smyth’s sister).

Many answered prayers

New persons in our fellowship

Maggie Wolfe leaving

Fouts (here today) building a new home in WV

Fund raising for NYC

Support of the Dominican Republic project

We then shifted and lifted up a few dreams for our congregation:

Have a joint sister church in the Dominican Republic

Sending Izzy to the Dominican again Republic

Have something more to bring the people into the church

Turn around the tide that exists today against the Bible and God
