         Note: this song is based upon Ephesians 5:8-20.  Many scholars believe that the apostle Paul quoted a familiar early Christian song in verse 14 of this chapter. The chorus above is our "rendition" of that refrain. Of course, if the words are indeed a quote from a long ago hymn, the music to it has been lost....
