O little children, gather near 
and learn of Jesus' glory. 
Now come and of his goodness hear, 
his love and power; come listen to his story.

Let Jesus Christ your teacher be, 
your thoughts to him addressing. 
He calls: O come now unto me and joyful be. 
I'll give you every blessing.

Then quickly come, all children dear, 
in Jesus' school enrolling. 
Here sit and learn, his judgment fear, 
his truth revere, his wisdom great extolling.

How good it is, and excellent 
to see the children turning 
to righteous ways, obedient and innocent, 
in Jesus' school of learning.

So, children, follow in his ways, 
and praying, reading, singing, 
seek heaven all your earthly days, and shout his praise, 
to him all honor bringing.
