if you do not hear the tune, click here.

                  D           A           G               Bm ... A      D                   A              G...A
When the Lord re-stored the for-tunes of Zion,           we were like those who dream.

  D            A                 G            Bm     A      D           A                G          A
Then our mouths were filled with laugh - ter,  and our tongues with shouts of joy;

                 D       G           A                     D           G               D           A
then they said a-mong the na-tions, "The Lord has done great things for them."

                D            G              D          A                     D...G...A
Yes, the Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad!

         D     A   G                 Bm...A            D     A         G        A
Re-store our  for-tunes, O Lord,    like streams in the wild-er-ness.

           D             A      Bm...G      D              A         G...A
May those who sow in tears        reap with shouts of  joy!

         D   A      G            Bm   A      D                A          G     A
The one who goes forth weep-ing, bear-ing the seed for sow - ing,

  D              A               G         Bm...A      D        A          G...A
shall come home with shouts of joy,         bring-ing in the sheaves.

            (reprise of 126:5):

                           D             A      Bm...G      D              A         G...A
May those who sow in tears        reap with shouts of  joy!      (repeat 3 times)

                                                                                                 G...A      D
                                                                               (last time:)   joy!
