Call to
Worship
God has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of
anything we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace.
This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning
of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of
our Savior, who has destroyed death and has brought life and
immortality to light through the gospel. Let us worship God.

Opening
Prayer
Spirit
of God, enlighten our hearts to the reality of divine presence in
our midst. Let our worship be pleasing in your sight, so that our
gathering is an experience of deep communion with you and one
another. In the name of Jesus Christ, this is our prayer. Amen.

Affirmation of Loyalty
All: We present ourselves to God and one
another in devotion to remain in the faith declared at our
baptism.
Pastor: Fan into flame the gift of
redemption in you ...
All: As far as we can discern, peace and
union prevail with others of like faith.
Pastor: Fan into flame the gift of
reconciliation in you ...
All: It is our desire to labor together for
an increase of holiness, both in spirit and in union with each
other.
Pastor: Fan into flame the gift of God in
you ...

Returning
our Tithes and Offerings
Please pray with me,
Faithful God, receive and bless these gifts which we bring as
signs of our faithfulness. Bless us also as we seek not to be
served, but to serve as Jesus did, humbly and wholeheartedly.
Amen
Ushers, please step forward
and receive our tithes and offerings as partial evidence of
God's work in us.

For
Children
"Show and Tell"
Our story teller, Ed Lewis, will recall with our children the
joy and excitement he felt in elementary school with "show and
tell." He'll then branch our into a Bible "show and tell,"
moving quickly from Moses and the tablets, David and the rock
that slew the giant etc., to wondering what people who met Jesus
might "show and tell" from their experience. For instance: "See
these eyes, I was totally blind, could not see a thing, Jesus
touched me and now I can see." Or, "see my legs, I could not
walk, but Jesus touched me and now I can." Or, "see this body,
I had died and this body was put in a tomb, and Jesus came in
and told me to get up and walk out, he gave me my life."
Shifting from
Bible "show and tell" to personal "show and tell" (testimony),
Ed will turn to his own experience. "Jesus has touched this body
and healed it in so many ways, and blessed me with so much
happiness I want to tell the world and show them myself." This
is the way we can do "show and tell" today.

moment)
|
Benediction
Imagine what a mustard seed of faith
might do this week in your life.
Not a quart,
nor a gallon,
nor a truckload.
Just a mustard seed.
Imagine.
Now go and live out that grace.
Yes! Let it be so! Amen!
