Returning our Tithes and Offerings
Revelation 21:1-5a

Listen to the promise:

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away." And the one who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new."

May this vision of tomorrow influence how you live today. How might it affect your finances, your priorities, your relationship with your family and your neighbors, the convictions you live by? "Behold, I am making all things new," said the One seated on the throne. Let’s return our tithes and offerings. Ushers?

Thanksgiving Prayer

You make all things new, O Lord. Not just tomorrow, but today. Thank you not only for what you do in providing for us, but also just for being who you are as our God. Help us this day to make a home for you in our own homes. This we pray in the name of the One who has already been wiping the tears away, destroying the power of sin and death, rising from the grave to new life for us - your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
