One: And so we begin again. . .
the Christ is a child, small and
helpless. . . carried, entrusted to human hands.
All: And in the
temple, old Simeon and the prophet Anna wait
and watch.
One: He comes to them
wrapped and tightly held, God's life
burning in his baby black eyes.
Men: Simeon looks into the
face of God and cries, "I've seen
your salvation!"
Women: Anna holds God s future in her arms and cries out
in praise.
One: And the weary
folk around them take another look at the
baby Jesus and begin to wonder...
All: Is
this the One?
Men: Is this the face of
hope?
Women: How will those little hands change our world?
Children/youth: What will he do when he grows up?
Women: Who will he be?
Men: Is he the
One?
All:
Have I seen God s salvation?
