Psalm 8:1, 3-9
O LORD, our Sovereign,
how majestic is
your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the
stars that you have established;
what are human
beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them?
Yet you have made them a little lower than God,
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You have given them dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all
things under their feet,
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts
of the field,
the birds of the
air, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Sovereign,
how majestic is
your name in all the earth!

For
Children
"Walls can’t hold
God"
Shared by one
of our storytellers, Ed Lewis. "I want to start by asking the
children what they think God can't do? Then point out
some unbelievable things (miracles) that God, through his son, did
in the Bible (blind to see, crippled to walk, the dead to come
alive, etc.). I can share a story in my life that I never thought
that God could do - but, he did."

Returning
our Tithes and Offerings
(after reading Romans
5:1-5)
Indeed, God is generous. Let’s pray.
Keep us alert, O
Lord. Help us to pay attention, to keep our eyes and ears open -
even when troubles come our way - that we might see and hear what
you are doing in our lives. If we were to return to you everything
you have so generously given, these offering plates would never be
big enough, and our ushers would have hernias trying to collect it
all. Help us to make wise use of it all, for your glory and our
neighbor’s good. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
