A
Holy Place
(a responsive reading of scriptures)

holy.’
Thus says
our God."
(Leviticus 19:2)
All - "Once you were alienated from God and
were enemies
in your
mind because of your evil behavior.
One - But now God has reconciled you by Christ’s death to
present you
holy in his sight, without blemish and free
from
accusation
All - If you continue in your faith, established and
firm, not
moved from
the hope held out in the gospel. "
(Colossians 1:21-23)
Left - "So then you are no longer strangers and
sojourners,
but fellow
citizens with the saints and members of the
household
of God.
Right- built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Christ
Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
All - in whom the whole structure is joined together
and
grows into
a holy temple in the Lord.
One - in whom you also are built into it for a dwelling place
of God in
the Spirit."
(Ephesians 2:19-22)
All - "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved
children.
And walk in
love, as Christ loved us and gave himself
up for us,
a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."
(Ephesians 5:1-2)
One - "As obedient children, do not be conformed to the
passions of
your former ignorance.
All - but as he who called you is holy, be holy
yourselves
in all your
conduct, since it is written, "You shall be
holy, for I
am holy."
(1 Peter 1:14-16)
One - "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a
holy
nation, God’s
own people, that you may declare the
wonderful
deeds of him who called you out of
darkness
into his marvelous light.
All - Once you were no people but now you are God’s
people;
once you had not received mercy but now
you have
received mercy."
(1 Peter 2:9-10)
